Video analysis

By looking closely at two of the bands music videos our group will be able to take inspiration from them and their and style. Temper Traps video the science of fear is mostly in black and white which may be a concept that we adopt in out our own video. The video picks out bits of colour throughout like red of the birds eye and sun, the yellow of the sole of the mans shoes and cars headlights. This gives a fresh, contemporary feel to the bands video. The song also uses fast and frantic cuts for example the birds at the beginning with a combination of slow motion where the people fall through the air. This is a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXJSN6Z9gGo

This is a link to another of their videos 'love lost' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLTPKKt-pMs 'Love lost' uses actors to lip sing in the place of the artists, the song is also different to the science of fear as it is less contemporary and is set in the past. The actors are also children which can make the video seem quite controversial as it's children singing a song related to love but it is also humerus to watch the children lip singing to a adult recording, dancing and running through muddy puddles. They use groups of actors and dancers rather than presenting the group (like in the science of fear), using actors allows the video to portray a stronger narrative which is also something which we may adopt in our video.
